Feeling a little Octobery.
Feeling a little Octobery in our hearts, with a few days to spare! Our trees have ever so gently begun to let go of their leaves. It's the very subtle beginnings of this transition, but the feeling is definitely hanging in the air. Tonight our younger girls made homemade pumpkin muffins. The house smelled amazing as I'm sure you can imagine. It really set the mood. It made the inhale of Autumn feel like something tangible.
I'm already busy at work putting together a Photo Essay of sorts that will be an exquisite holiday gift when we are done. I can't give too much away, but it made tonight's little personal memory capture completely necessary and I'm glad that it did because these "everyday portraits" draw me in. The little tangle of sisters arms as they work around each other at the kitchen counter. The fresh fallen leaves scattered across my lawn. The messy delight of kids at work in the kitchen. The impatient excitement of them watching through the oven window.
I look forward to doing in home sessions this fall. The sincere storytelling kind! Reach out so we can document your extraordinary and tell your story in this season! If you've been thinking about it for a while, I invite you to just dive in! Be brave! Let's make art.
